Now that the French star is looking on what seems to be a very tight competition for a place in the starting eleven of the Chelsea squad, Anelka believes he can still provide a whole lot to the team even now.
He is even stated to have said that previously the partnership with Torres did not go as planned but as of now, it is in a good position and that he is ready for all kinds of competitions and wants to perform at par with the squad.
It is also possible, that Andres Villas Boas, the new appointed manager would see fit to use Drogba, Borini or Kalou in place of Anelka for the up coming season. Currently, there is interest developing for the experienced French player in other leagues such as the Major League Soccer, namely with teams like LA Galaxy and the New York Red Bulls.
